Henry is doing so well - he's 70 pounds now! He's gained
20 pounds since we got him. He's not fat by any means,
but with the way he and Rusti play, they are both all muscle.
They play for hours at a time!
We finally have the house training fully under control.
That was a long, trying time for everyone involved, but
he's finally trained! Whew! Ultimately the way it happened
once and for all was with a technique our trainer gave
us. It involves a product called Bitter End. What we had
to do - and this was the hard part, both physically and
emotionally - was spray his nose and mouth with the Bitter
End. Then every time he peed somewhere, we'd clean it up
and then spray Henry and the area with Bitter End. We also
sprayed areas where we didn't want him to pee with it too.
We did this for three days straight and started seeing
improvement right away. After about a week and a half we
didn't have any further problems (other than some accidental
peeing) at all. I thought you might like to know in case
you know of other owners who might be having a house training
problem.
We are so in love with this darn dog! He has the sweetest
personality - he loves everyone and everyone loves him.
He's still a work in progress with jumping on people and
wanting to do the dog sled thing when we go for walks -
but every day is an improvement. That first day we met
him there was no way of knowing that this amazing, loving
personality was going to emerge, but there was something
there that sparked a special feeling the moment I saw him.
He is so happy and Rusti is so happy; Henry has truly brought
joy into all of our lives.
Thanks to you and to Forte for all of the wonderful work
you do - we wouldn't have found Henry if it weren't for
you.
